What is it?
By quality we mean the set of all activities carried out in the realization of a product or provision of a service to achieve high standards. All this has the task of pursuing continuous improvement or the ability of a company to plan strategic objectives, aimed at increasing the satisfaction of its stakeholders, but also the ability to plan operational objectives in small steps to obtain the expected results for the minor cost and with the least number of defects. This cycle is divided into four phases:- Plan: phase in which improvement actions are planned, based on certain facts and data.
- Do: the planned improvement actions are implemented.
- Check: moment in which the results obtained are verified.
- Act: standardization and formalization.
Concept born in Japan mainly in Toyota with the philosophy of "Kaizen" which literally means continuous growth in small steps, spread in the United States in the 1950s where the whole company must be involved in achieving the "so-called mission" goal. This way of thinking has also reached Europe and, since the eighties, voluntary standards have been issued in the companies to establish the organizational requirements necessary for a common approach to quality, this concept has found its maximum expression in the UNI EN ISO 9000 standard, which set the basic principles of quality management.

What is it?

ISO
13485
What is it?
ISO 13485 specifies the requirements for a quality management system in cases where an organization must demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and related services that meet the requirements of customers and meet the regulatory needs regarding medical devices and related services. It also includes many ISO 9001 principles supplemented by some specific medical device requirements and excludes others that not are suitable for regulatory purposes. This certification can be obtained from an accredited certification body that operates within certain rules, certificates of conformity to the requirements contained therein and is addressed to all manufacturers and distributors of medical devices regardless of their size or the type of device involved.
